New York, Cannes, Seattle: Don’t come back until you can tell us something we don’t know

Our Sympra office in Stuttgart has a poster saying ‘THERE IS NO TRUTH INSIDE THE BUILDING’.

It’s a quote from entrepreneur Steve Blank and it motivated us to rebuild our staff education programme. Instead of seminars and workshops our consultants are now encouraged to break their routine and leave the country.

We want them to explore the world’s creative communication hotspots and to come back to Sympra with great experiences and fresh business ideas. They have to develop five ideas we can implement profitably for our customers.

People on our ‘Create5’ programme choose where to go, and it makes sense to start with one of our 20 global partner agencies. We’ve already send Anahita to New York to learn more about collaboration in the creative business. Jasmin was part of the official Baden-Wurttemberg-Delegation to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, and in July Vineeta visited our partner agency Communiqué PR in Seattle and wrote a blog post about her experiences.

All of them came back with inspiring ideas. We already look forward to saying good bye to another colleague with more of Steve Blank’s wise words: DON’T COME BACK UNTIL YOU CAN TELL US SOMETHING WE DON’T KNOW.
