March 2008

20 years of Brazilian PR know-how

In March Lide, one of the ten largest communication agencies in Brazil, celebrated its 20th birthday. During this time Lide has worked for more than 200 national and international clients across many sectors. Lide has built up a loyal client base, many still with the agency after more than ten years.

Lide has recently won two new accounts: GRAACC, a highly renowned Brazilian NGO focusing on the treatment of children and teenagers suffering from cancer, and the Biography Channel, a subsidiary of the American A&E Television Network, that tells compelling stories of the world’s famous people.

In the course of the celebrations the agency developed a meeting program with communication professionals to share their knowledge and experience. The first guest, the Brazilian journalist Márcio Polidoro, talked about the challenges communication is facing in times of globalisation. Polidoro brought much experience to the talk having been Southern Hemisphere Communications Manager for Odebrecht, a successful private enterprise group.
